Para ice hockey, 殘奧冰球
Since its debut at Lillehammer 1994 Winter Games, the Paralympic version of ice hockey has quickly become one of the largest attractions for spectators. It is fast-paced, highly physical and played by male and female athletes with a physical impairment in the lower part of the body.
1994年的利勒哈默爾冬奧會上，殘奧冰球被正式列為比賽項目，并很快成為了最受觀眾歡迎的項目之一。殘奧冰球比賽節奏快、對抗性強，參加這項運動的都是下肢殘疾的運動員。
A direct descendant of ice hockey, Para ice hockey was invented at a rehabilitation centre in Stockholm, Sweden. During the early 1960's by a group of Swedes who, despite their physical impairment, wanted to continue playing hockey. The men modified a metal frame sled with two regular-sized ice hockey skate blades that allowed the puck to pass underneath. Using round poles with bike handles for sticks, the men played without any goaltenders on a lake south of Stockholm.
在20世紀60年代初，在瑞典斯德哥爾摩的一個康復中心，熱愛冰球運動卻肢體殘疾的人們從冰球運動中得到靈感，他們在金屬框架的冰橇下安裝了兩個常規尺寸的冰刀，這樣冰球可以從冰橇下穿過，使用特制的球桿在斯德哥爾摩南部的湖水冰面上打起了不用守門員的冰球。

National Indoor Stadium, 國家體育館
In 2022, the National Indoor Stadium will be the venue for the para ice hockey during the Paralympics. In its upgrade and reconstruction project, a new ice hockey training hall has been built on the north side of the main hall. The facade of the training hall is decorated with 863 pieces of ice flower pattern embossed glass, so the National Indoor Stadium is nicknamed as Ice Castle.
國家體育館是2022年北京冬殘奧會的冰球比賽場地。通過升級改造，在主比賽廳的北側新建了一個訓練館。新建訓練館的外面由863塊冰花圖案的壓花玻璃裝飾，因此國家體育館被稱為“冰堡”。
In order to make the ice surface quality match the Olympic standards, the National Indoor Stadium selected the highest-level ice making team in China. With the cooperation and efforts of all parties, two new ice rinks for ice hockey games were added, one for the official competition of the Winter Olympic Games and the other for pre-game training and warm-up. Both ice rinks have multiple size mode conversion functions, which can not only match the size requirements of the 60m × 26m ice rink for the Winter Olympics, but also be converted to the 60m × 30m ice rink after the games, providing services for popular ice sports, figure skating, daily training and various events.
為使冰面質量符合冬殘奧會賽事標準，國家體育館選取了國內最高水平的制冰團隊。在各方的共同努力下，改造后的國家體育館新增兩塊冰球冰面，一塊用于冬殘奧會正式比賽，另一塊用于賽前熱身訓練。兩塊冰場具備多種尺寸模式轉換的功能，不僅能夠滿足冬奧會60米×26米冰場尺寸要求，賽后也可轉換為60米×30米尺寸冰場，為大眾冰上活動、花樣滑冰、日常訓練及各類賽事提供服務。
Para ice hockey players play with ice sledge, their line of sight is lower than the ice hockey players. The players' seats and Sin Bin need to be replaced by transparent boundary walls, they are made of high-density polyethylene(HDPE) board, which can not only protect the athletes, but also facilitate them to observe the situation on the field, prepare for the game at any time.
冬殘奧會冰球運動員使用冰橇比賽，所以他們的視線較低。在殘奧冰球比賽中，運動員席與受罰席前方的板墻將被替換成透明的高密度聚乙烯板，這種透明板墻不僅能夠保護運動員，同時方便場下運動員隨時觀察場上局勢、做好上場準備。
When coming to the National Indoor Stadium, the Paralympic athletes can easily reach the dressing rooms from the drop-off area. The dressing rooms of the Paralympic team are very close to the main stadium ice rink, training rink, and the simulation ice boards are laid in the area where Paralympic athletes enter and exit the ice rink.
由于運動隊的更衣室離國家體育館主館冰場和訓練場都很近，當運動員到達時，可輕松從落客區直達更衣室。同時，殘奧運動員進出冰場的區域還鋪設了仿真冰板，方便他們換好裝備后出入冰場。
