Eamon Ryan, Ireland's Minister for Environment, Climate and Communications and Minister for Transport, and Ann Derwin, Ambassador of Ireland to China, visited the Beijing University of Technology (BJUT) and delivered speeches to more than 400 teachers and students at Beijing-Dublin International College (BDIC) on the afternoon of March 16.
Eamon Ryan congratulated BDIC on its 11th anniversary and highly recognized its achievements in recent years. He noted that the Irish government has attached great importance to developing relations with China and will continue to deepen the friendship through exchanges and cooperation in various areas such as economy, trade, culture and education. There is still great potential for cooperation between the two countries in carbon neutrality, energy and environment, information technology, and urban transportation. He hoped that BDIC students could make full use of the joint international platform and resources to enhance their academic skills and become high-caliber talent with a global vision and expertise, thus contributing to China-Ireland cooperation and global green development.
