The 2023 Consular Protection Sitcom Competition entitled “Motherland Backing You Up” will be officially launched on May 12 to showcase heartwarming stories of consular protection that prioritizes people’s needs .

The competition has been successfully held five times since its inception in 2017, receiving widespread attention and acclaim from all walks of life. In 2022, the Beijing Municipal Foreign Affairs Office took the lead in the country to promote consular protection and educate the public in a systematic manner, establishing a “3+N” work system that provided participating teams with ample materials for creation and enhanced the effectiveness and coverage of preventive consular protection. At the launching ceremony, experts in consular protection and professional actors will give public lectures on consular protection sitcoms.
